Location,location,location
Have satyed here 6 years running, back in Nov 06.Best location, rooms are small( hotel is 80 yrs old) in addition nice.Great swimming pool bar & staff.Starbucks in lobby.If you fly in-take a cab-do not ever need a car.
Sweet Dreams
PERFECTLY situated on Duval. the hotel room was nice & spotless. The beds are the best I've ever had at a property. Everyone was courteous and helpful except one man in night shift at reception desk with bad attitude. The TV needs improvement. No pay-per-view movies and the cable carries no special channels. The Starbucks downstairs is a definite plus. Willie T's, across to the right, makes great margaritas and the Jamaican Jerk Wrap with curry-lime sauce & sweet potato fries are not to be missed. Margaritaville is the best for Margaritas. I'll definitely stay at this property again; it is a winner.
Honeymoon
This hotel was recommended by a friend for our honeymoon stay. We read the reviews and thought it would offer everything we were looking for and we were right. great location, clean/quiet room, friendly and helpful staff. We would not hesitate to stay there again.
Maybe my expectations were too high
On the upside: Great location, friendly maid staff, pleasant front desk staff, nice room, awesome place to see sunset. On the downside: Concierge unfriendly & condescending, a/c temp controlled by property, was ignored by restaurant staff, small swimming pool and swimming pool area, little details overlooked, unable to see sunset on rooftop for 3 nites due to private parties, some hotel signage confusing.
Spring trip
Great property. Right in the middle of Duval St. Great sunset view from roof, nice facilities, awesome beds.
